Larry Vu

Larry Vu is an Education Professional who has over 15 years of Higher Education experience. He has spent time working with students and families on funding their college while working at the university early on in his career. While there, he actively participated in state and regional professional associations and took on leadership roles at the state level. 

Larry then transitioned to the United States Department of Education Federal Student Aid. As an Institutional Review Specialist on the Multi-Regional and Foreign Schools Participation Division, he analyzed and certified foreign schools applications on Title IV eligibility. He trained and presented at the Federal Student Aid Training Conference. Larry also presented Title IV regulations at the International Education Council Conference. During his time, he participated and graduated from the Foundation of Leadership Program where he surveyed, interviewed, and made recommendations to senior leadership. He received the Department’s Innovation and Efficiency award for streamlining procedures for review. 

Larry spent the remainder of his time with the Performance Management Group. In this position, he honed into policies and procedures. In this role, he collaborated with internal and external clients to develop and update procedures. Procedures were created and revised based on new regulations and feedback from business partners. Larry’s adaptability allowed him to test new software and assess ongoing issues. He was then able to create and provide training through videos as well as live questioning. 

Larry remains committed to the Education field. His experience at the school as well as with Federal Student Aid provides him with a unique perspective in higher education. He is a lifelong learner and is passionate about sharing his expertise to the public.
